Cecilia Raab has joined the instruction staff of the International Education     College (IEC) at ZZULI as an English Language Instructor. She has extensive experience in working with internationals/immigrants in the United States to improve their English skills and communication. Cecilia has taught many subjects in both private and public schools. She has previously taught in China in Hengyang, Hunan province in 1990-1991 to senior English majors. She published an article about her teaching experience in the ELIC Journal after giving a presentation at a TESOL conference in Changsha. She also directed her Chinese students in a radio play, “Father Knows Best”. Cecilia has continued to study Chinese culture since then. She has worked with many youth groups and been president of a neighborhood group, and also Kappa Kappa Iota, a teacher’s organization, for two years. In addition to language education, Cecilia has taught art classes to students of all ages and has been a professional artist for several years and desktop publisher. She enjoys being creative and using her artistic talents to improve public spaces. She likes drawing, painting and printmaking primarily. Her goals in working with students are to develop confidence, self-actualization, expression and motivation to care for and serve others as leaders in society.
